With Exorbitant Tuition Fees, Admission Scandals, Safe Spaces And Fabian Socialism Indoctrination Rife In Institutions Of Higher Learning – Here Are Some Alternatives

Our sub-header says it all: college is not what was promised. We make no judgments (that we will share here) about what has become of even quondam prestigious institutions, but the verdict is in: college isn’t the only way to a good life.

To boot, many industrial jobs are being repatriated under the current presidential administration (as of 2019), giving traditional four-year colleges a run for their money.

Here are some alternatives that pay well, and provide opportunities for advancement and continued learning throughout one’s career.

  1. Vocational Training. Anything from aviation mechanics to LPN training can be obtained from a two-year community college. Of particular interest – for being technical, with good work environments, and high-paying – are: paralegals, nuclear medicine technicians, marine mechanics, pilots, emergency medical technicians, air traffic controllers, computer programmers, cybersecurity experts, respiratory therapists, dental hygenists.
  2. Mlitary careers (which will often pay for a four-year degree, through the GI Bill).
  3. Job Corps. Everything from chefs to mechanics. Depending on aptitude, the sky is the limit. These programs, like military, provide room and board in addition to training.
  4. Mentorships. Ideal for artists and musicians.
  5. Conservatories. Ideal for artists and musicians.

It’s often overlooked, but musicians, YouTube personalities, comedians, and actors can simply ‘jump in’ and use tools of the Web 2.0 world to set up channels or Patreon or SubscribeStar portals to deliver their content, for money. They can collaborate with other talents on the other side of the world, and produce anything from hip-hop tracks to independent films.

The same for entrepreneurs. It’s never been easier to begin import/export businesses, or have t-shirts custom-printed and drop-shipped, or to go to Guru or other remote-working websites, hang up a shingle (profile), and find work.

It’s never been easier for people to just start working, or following their dream.

The barriers to entry are lower than ever.
